where do you buy your canned pumpkin? At this time of year I highly recommend buying a whole pumpkin, boil and blend... you can then batch freeze and use for all canned pumpkin recipes - it's an awful lot cheaper (and more 'local food' friendly!)
I get them from the Fenwicks Food Hall. I made brownies using fresh pumpkin once but they were horrible. Thought I'd give canned a try and taste the difference :)Katie xox

Hi Katie - I'm new to your blog, but you should give fresh pumpkin a second chance. Check out my detailed comment in your pumpkin cookie post. I forgot to mention that you should be using the small "sweet culinary" pumpkins not the big carving pumpkins.
